This also started out as a Tim, and then Dick, but moved to Terry when cranky-old-coot Wayne showed up and smacked me with his cane. (And that's kind of why he's one of my all time favorite characters and I so need to write the story where The Shade shows up and more or less appoints himself as the Butler, don't I?)

Author's Note: These are two of my favorite characters in the DCU and they've been largely forgotten in the past 12 months. Continuity? Set post 52 and post Outsiders. Please don't rag me on the finer points of Owen's recent continuity, because I haven't read Countdown or any of the tie-ins and last I heard, Owen was working with the Suicide Squad and ... I'm really hoping he'll show up as a member of the Sinister Six at some point. (I think he and Catman would get on like a house on fire.)

Anyhow, the idea of Shade/Owen grabbed me last month and would not let go and this is finally what has come of it.
